Spanning an expansive 158,300 square feet, Perry Middle School stands as a single-story educational enclave, accommodating a thriving student body of over 1,000. Orchestrated by the Houston County School District, the much-anticipated renovation phase was set to align with the summer of 2022, beginning as soon as classes adjourned. In order to set the stage for a seamless transformation, we suggested commencing renovations during Spring Break, affording us the opportunity to swiftly tackle the administration space.
By utilizing the Spring Break time frame, our team executed the renovations to the administration space, offering a strategic “head start” that proved immensely advantageous to the school’s administrative staff. This approach ensured minimal relocation, streamlining the construction process and enhancing the efficiency of their administrative duties.
The breadth of work encompassed a wide array of elements, including selective demolition, the infusion of new flooring, cabinetry, bleachers, fluid-applied gymnasium sports flooring, kitchen equipment, signage, doors and hardware, and storefront systems. Concurrently, comprehensive upgrades to the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems across the facility were executed, elevating the school’s infrastructure and functionality.
