Project Details
The Plant Operations & Workforce Training Center is a modern facility totaling 35,134 square feet constructed at Ogeechee Technical College. This highly visible facility is located on the southwest side of Joe Kennedy Boulevard in Statesboro, Georgia.
The building is a one story, brick, conventional steel frame, slab-on-grade structure with metal panels and contemporary glass features that complement the college’s existing campus aesthetic.
Site development for the project included a receiving/loading area, the college’s vehicle fleet storages and check-out, approximately 184 parking spaces along with decorative fencing, upgraded hardscapes and landscape features.
Interior construction consisted of drywall partitions with open structure accompanied by acoustical ceilings. The overall interior aesthetic is intended to be complementary to the high-tech manufacturing program with a sophisticated and well-coordinated palette of exposed mechanicals, stained concrete floors, wood accents and LED lighting.
The facility’s systems consist of an HVAC system that is an air-cooled chiller serving a VAV air distribution system complete with automatic controls and a state-of-the-art electrical system including an integrated lighting control system, wireless access points, multi-zone audio, CATV distribution equipment, satellite distribution equipment, electronic security, intrusion detection and a video surveillance system.
Our team proudly completed the Plant Operations & Workforce Training Center ahead of schedule and under the owner’s stated cost limitation.
